monis.rent is committed to protecting your data and privacy rights. This Privacy Policy provides information about how we collect your personal data, what we do with it, for what purposes and on what legal basis this happens, and what rights are associated with it for you.

This Privacy Policy applies to information we obtain from and about you when you interact with us, our websites (monis.rent and app.monis.rent), and our services. It does not apply to any information collected offline or via channels other than these websites.

1. Who is responsible for data processing and whom can I contact?

2. For what purpose do we process your data and on which legal basis?

a) For the performance of contractual and pre-contractual obligations

We process personal data for the purpose of providing our websites and services, including for the conclusion and processing of rental contracts, for invoicing, for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, and for answering inquiries in connection with our business relationship.

In particular, we process the personal information that you provide during registration or within the scope of an inquiry. This includes: name, e-mail address, address (billing and possibly differing shipping address), order information, optional telephone number, and payment details.

b) Based on legitimate interests

We process your data beyond the actual fulfilment of the contract to protect legitimate interests of ours or third parties, including:

  • Responding to your inquiries received through our contact forms or social media platforms
  • Advertising or market research, unless you have objected to the use of your data
  • Enforcement of legal claims and defence in legal disputes
  • Ensuring IT security and IT operation
  • Find and prevent fraud

c) Based on your consent

3. Which data do we process when you visit our website?

3.1 Usage data (log files)

monis.rent follows a standard procedure of using log files. When you visit our website, our web server temporarily records usage data for statistical purposes in order to improve the quality of our website. This data consists of:

  • The name and address of the requested content
  • The date and time of the query
  • The transferred data volume
  • The access status (content transferred, content not found)
  • The description of the used web browser and operating system
  • The referral link, which indicates from which page you reached ours
  • The IP address of the requesting computer, which is shortened in such a way that a personal reference can no longer be established
  • Possibly the number of clicks

These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analysing trends, administering the site, and gathering demographic information. The mentioned log data will only be evaluated anonymously.

3.2 Cookies and similar technologies

Like any other website, monis.rent uses “cookies”. These cookies are used to store information including visitors' preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimise the users' experience by customising our web page content based on visitors' browser type and/or other information.

Strictly necessary cookies are required for the website to function and cannot be disabled. They enable us to identify you as logged in, authenticate you, and ensure the security of our services.

Functional cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalisation, such as remembering your location, language, or preferences.

4. Who is the recipient of my data?

Within the company, those departments that need access to your data to fulfil our contractual and legal obligations are granted access. We also pass on your data to the following categories of recipients where necessary:

  • IT service providers, including hosting, storage, and cloud computing providers
  • Logistics service providers
  • Payment service providers (e.g. Stripe SE) and credit institutions for the processing of payments
  • E-mail and customer service providers
  • Marketing service providers
  • Collection agencies or law firms for the enforcement of claims

monis.rent's Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. We advise you to consult the respective Privacy Policies of any third-party services for more detailed information.

5. Is my personal data processed outside the European Union?

For the processing of your data we may also use service providers located in third countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area (EEA). Where such transfers take place, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or adequacy decisions (e.g. the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework).

6. How long will my data be stored?

Your data will be processed and deleted in accordance with the applicable legal regulations and our intended deletion periods.

As far as necessary, we process and store your personal data for the duration of our contractual relationship, which also includes the initiation and execution of a contract.

In addition, we are subject to various retention and documentation obligations which may require us to store certain data for a period of time after the end of the contractual relationship. Log files are deleted after the end of the respective browser session, at the latest after seven days, unless their further storage is necessary and lawful.

7. What are my privacy rights?

CCPA Privacy Rights (Do Not Sell My Personal Information)

Under the CCPA, among other rights, California consumers have the right to:

  • Request that a business that collects a consumer's personal data disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal data that a business has collected about consumers.
  • Request that a business delete any personal data about the consumer that a business has collected.
  • Request that a business that sells a consumer's personal data, not sell the consumer's personal data.

8. Children's Information

Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.

monis.rent does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
